<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The Internet space as a means of reflecting reality is the strongest factor of influence on the material and spiritual experience of humanity. It is obvious that the rapid development of the Network’s capabilities, the processes of de-legitimation and convergence, the widespread distribution of personal electronic devices as the main means of communication and other technological advances in the information and communication sphere, change the traditional media, encouraging the emergence of new formats of broadcasting, and new forms of interaction with the audience. One of these forms are streams. The paper reveals the concept and essence of stream broadcasting. Considering streams not only as a process of delivering multimedia information flows to users in real time, but as a socio-cultural phenomenon. The role of stream broadcasting for the development of online news journalism is defined. The author analyzes the prerequisites for the appearance and development of this type of broadcasting, and attempts to forecast the development of news streaming in Russia.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>стриминговое вещание</kwd><kwd>потоковое вещание</kwd><kwd>стриминг</kwd><kwd>стримы</kwd><kwd>новостной стриминг</kwd><kwd>потоковые медиа</kwd><kwd>журналистика</kwd><kwd>новостная журналистика</kwd><kwd>СМИ</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>stream broadcasting</kwd><kwd>streaming</kwd><kwd>streams</kwd><kwd>stream news</kwd><kwd>stream media</kwd><kwd>journalism</kwd><kwd>news journalism</kwd><kwd>media</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Вартанова Е. С.
