Рассмотрена история становления египетских СМИ с акцентом на изменения государственной политики в области СМИ после революционных событий 2011 и 2013 годов. Разобраны основные положения законодательства, регулирующего масс-медиа, и на его влияние на прессу. Приведены статистические данные и экспертные суждения, характеризующие эффективность деятельности масс-медиа в АРЕ. Даны оценки независимых НПО относительно соблюдения принципа свободы слова в этой ближневосточной страны. Перечислены основные причины популярности иностранных альтернативных источников информации. </p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article is devoted to the analysis of the latest trends in the development of media discourse in the Arab Republic of Egypt (ARE). The history of the formation of the Egyptian media is considered with an emphasis on changes in state media policy after the revolutionary events of 2011 and 2013. The main provisions of the legislation regulating the mass media and its impact on the press are analyzed. The author provides statistical data and expert judgments characterizing the effectiveness of Egyptian mass media, and leads the independent NGOs assessments of the observance of the principle of freedom of speech in this Middle Eastern country.
