Статья посвящена особенностям политической карикатуры советского периода. Анализируется понятие и содержательное наполнение термина «политическая карикатура». Автор наделяет политическую карикатуру характеристиками «зеркала эпохи», что может быть актуально в качестве исторического источника, содержащего информацию о социальной и политической повестке исследуемого этапа развития государства. Особое внимание автор уделяет периоду 20–30-х годов прошлого столетия как «золотому веку» политической карикатуры. Известные обстоятельства начала прошлого столетия, стремительно меняющаяся политическая обстановка, а также потребность в формировании нового «советского человека» обусловили высокий спрос на политическую карикатуру как жанра искусства, оголяющего острые углы общественных отношений. Именно при помощи политической карикатуры происходило формирование общественного сознания и настроения масс. Актуальность выбранной темы исследования обусловлена ролью карикатуры в общественной жизни и сегодня. В частности, можно провести параллель влияния карикатурных изображений начала прошлого столетия на общественное настроение и современного этапа развития визуальных карикатурных изображений, отражающих политическую обстановку, социальный контекст общественных отношений и многие другие значимые вопросы повестки дня.

The article is dedicated to the peculiarities of political caricature of the Soviet period and relies on the analysis of the its concept and content. The author endows political caricature with the characteristics of a mirror of society of the epoque, which may be relevant as a historical source that provides information on the social and political agenda of the studied stage of state development. The author pays special attention to the period of the 20-30s of the last century as the golden age of political caricature. Well-known circumstances of the beginning of the last century, the rapidly changing political situation, as well as the need to form the Soviet Man identity, determined the high demand for political caricature as a genre of art that exposes the sharp corners of social relations. Hense, the political citriculture was intended to build the new public consciousness and mood of the masses. These features seem relevant in public life up till nowadays. In particular, it is possible to draw a parallel between the influence of caricature images of the beginning of the last century on public opinion and the current stage of development of caricature images reflecting the political situation, the social context of public relations and many other significant issues of the agenda.
