SOCIAL STRUCTURE, SOCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND PROCESSES
The article is dedicated to the analysis of the dynamics of the social well-being of the population and destructive social processes in the Russian Federation from 1990 to 2016. Analysis of statistical and secondary sociological data shows that the change in the social well-being of the population of significant degrees affects the incidence of alcoholism and drug addiction, criminality and the number of deaths from homicides, suicides and accidental alcohol poisoning. Besides, the study shows the growth of positive social sentiments that affects the birth rate and life expectancy of the population
The paper is dedicated to the recent conference “Project management: prospects for development”, considered as an important communication platform for federal executive bodies and constituent entities of the Russian Federation on the implementation of national projects (on the implementation of the Presidential Decree), project management and the development of a professional standard for project management specialists. Communication is among the priority skills of the professional standard. Besides, the paper gives the overview of approaches used to develop this standard, and a brief description of how the course of the project management conference itself based on the latest Presidential Decrees, Decrees of the Government of the Russian Federation. The author shows the diversity of organizational forms of federal executive authorities, Federation, presents examples of communication platforms, special events on the example of training programs for heads of municipalities, within the contest “Project Olympus” and others.
ECONOMIC SOCIOLOGY AND DEMOGRAPHY
The paper represents the author’s vision of the results of a sociological survey conducted by the specialists of the Institute of Sociology of Russian Academy of Science (RAS) in Krasnodar within the grant project of Russian Science Foundation No.15-18-00093 “Forecasting the Modeling of Interethnic Relations in Russian Regions (based on the analysis of the identification strategies of diaspora / land groups” and the monograph by A.V. Dmitriev and V.V. Voronov1. Based on results of the secondary analysis of sociological data, the author reveals communicative models of social adaptation and integration of migrants in the host community by preferred subjects and channels of communication. The author considers and systematizes the main communicative problems, such as the lack of communication platforms, publications in national languages, current news channels, broadcasting local news and situations in the homeland of migrants in their native languages.
The paper represents the analysis of corporate image communication in the market of advertising and communication services with the following recommendations for communicative agencies on the development of corporate image with the use of modern media technologies and in accordance with three key audiences: employees, customers and owners / investors. For the purpose, the authors analyze communication activity of 40 agencies (Russian and foreign) in mass media, social networks, corporate websites. The paper reveals three factors that influence the image of the company: (1) what the company says about itself in the mission, values, goals; (2) what companies say about the technologies that they use to be effective in the market; (3) what companies say about the products and services they sell.
In summary, the authors (1) define the key directions in the positioning of modern communication agencies and (2) describe the services of agencies from the position of the image values development. Conclusions the authors emphasize the importance of advertising agencies in the development of modern culture, besides its influence on modern markets.
SOCIOLOGY OF CULTURE
Theoretical journalism is considered as a component institutionally included in the political system of mass media, and representing a socio-communicative mechanism of such multifunctional institutions of society as the press, television, radio, Internet and other media.
From the standpoint of the interests of society journalism is considered as a mechanism of social management, designed to direct applied and scientific and practical knowledge to the formation of mass consciousness, contributing to the adoption of social groups of behaviors and in General. Sports journalism, as the subject of this research, is represented as a form of journalism that reports on sports topics and events. The importance of sports in Russia has increased dramatically in recent years, primarily due to the Olympics (2014) and the FIFA Cup (2018) in Russia. Sport has grown in its influence on social processes, has become stronger in the minds of people as a prestigious and attractive category. Accordingly, sports journalism began to develop actively.
Sports journalism is presented as a section of journalism, besides reflecting sports events and not limited to the analysis of sports, is an integral element of any organization, even at the social level. It includes theoretical and methodological analysis of the state of social processes related in any way to physical culture and sports and is considered (analyzed, highlighted) in the relationship of physical culture and sports.
Today’s sports journalism together with other areas of journalism entering the system of modern media implies the use of hypertext, multimedia and interactive technologies.
The paper represents the study of the issue of identity and identification of individuals on the Internet in conditions of rapid development of virtual communication on the basis of social networks. Internet is described as part of a postmodern culture with an inherent attitude to the personality and the formation of an individuality that is not identical to itself. The authors describe the process of identity formation in the social Internet space, which is connected with its virtualization through various tools of Internet communication. It is shown that the identification process is conditioned by the level of development of the society and should be characterized by gradation from complete anonymity and confidentiality of participants in virtual communication during the initial period of the formation of social networks to the actual identification of the person at the present time. The text gives the description of this process by stages. The conclusions highlight the influence of this process on the formation of marketing communications technologies, such as social media marketing, viral technologies, augmented reality.

The article represents the list of the key problems reducing efficiency of realization of foreign cultural policy of the Russian Federation within the “Year of Russia” project, revealed by authors based on the analysis of 10 realized projects in the countries of Europe, Asia and Latin America. The authors assess the efficiency of each of the “Years of Russia” is taking into account the dynamics of tourist flow – the number of the incoming foreign tourists – during the period, subsequent to the project. For each of the eight identified problems, the authors propose a solution that lays in the plane of communicative practices, and should improve the quality of future PR campaigns. The main steps aimed at improving the effectiveness of the “Year of Russia” project are, as listed: (1) development of the image strategy for Russia; (2) creation of a single structure responsible for the implementation of such projects; (3) cooperation with Russia Today in coverage of the events within the project.
POLITICAL INSTITUTIONS, PROCESSES AND TECHNOLOGIES
The paper represents the analysis of the concept of “state information policy”, and reveals that “state information policy” is the main tool for the formation of “information sphere of the state”, and in particular – “image” of the state as a political pattern created on the basis of reliable facts, processes and results of activities within the state, as well as directly determines the perception of the state by the world community. The analysis has displayed the lack of legislative regulation of the “state information policy” in Russia, in particular – the absence of “Concept of state information policy” as the main document determining the development vector of domestic and foreign policy of the Russian Federation.
While searching for state mechanisms to increase the responsibility of citizens for their health, the development of social projects for the formation of a healthy lifestyle mostly among young people has received broad support over the past ten years. However, to increase the effectiveness of socially significant projects in this direction, the personal efforts of a citizen in the pursuit of taking care of one’s health should be considered equally with modern integrated strategic approach to managing external and internal communication within the framework of a social project.
The main criteria to achieve this goal is the establishment and maintenance of social interaction with youth and understanding of young adults, the involvement of youth in the management of social projects, in which the use of a modern tools of communication to plays an important role.
The article highlights the effective methods and forms of information and communication activities within the framework of social projects management, which have the greatest impact on the consciousness and behavior of young people in the context of the formation of a healthy lifestyle. Besides, the paper provides a model for the development of an integrated communication strategy for increasing the effectiveness of social projects.
THEORY AND HISTORY OF CULTURE STUDIES
Sociology has not developed a clear and standard approach to assess the influence of cinema on social representations of heroism, hence the paper identifies some necessary conceptual and methodological steps in this direction.
First, the authors consider different interpretations of ‘heroism’, techniques of its empirical study, and methods to analyze the perception of movies. Second, the article displays the results of the pilot study of social representations of heroism, including those formed under the influence of movies. The qualitative content analysis of four groups of Russian films revealed the distribution of types of heroes according to the authors’ classification. The survey based on the unfinished sentences technique has allowed to assess the perception of movie heroes by two groups (parent and children generations). The survey has shown that the interpretations of real-life heroism in two groups are similar while the movie heroes differ: adults prefer military heroism, and children believe that heroes are to fight their internal fears and inspire others to overcome life difficulties.
The Internet space as a means of reflecting reality is the strongest factor of influence on the material and spiritual experience of humanity. It is obvious that the rapid development of the Network’s capabilities, the processes of de-legitimation and convergence, the widespread distribution of personal electronic devices as the main means of communication and other technological advances in the information and communication sphere, change the traditional media, encouraging the emergence of new formats of broadcasting, and new forms of interaction with the audience. One of these forms are streams. The paper reveals the concept and essence of stream broadcasting. Considering streams not only as a process of delivering multimedia information flows to users in real time, but as a socio-cultural phenomenon. The role of stream broadcasting for the development of online news journalism is defined. The author analyzes the prerequisites for the appearance and development of this type of broadcasting, and attempts to forecast the development of news streaming in Russia.
